Wendy Bennett – Wendy Bennett is the executive director of AgSafe BC. AgSafe strives to create a safe and healthy work environment in BC agriculture through outreach and an active program of education, training and consultation in all regions of the province.
Dr. Manon Racicot – Manon Racicot is a veterinary epidemiologist. She completed her DVM in 2007 and her PhD in 2011 at the Université de Montréal. From 2011 to 2013, she worked for the Office of Animal Biosecurity at CFIA, developing biosecurity standards at the farm-level. From 2013 to 2022, she was a food safety risk assessor, leading the development of risk-based oversight models for food establishments, importers, hatcheries and feed mills. In 2022, she joined the animal health surveillance group and the Avian Influenza National Emergency Operations Centre to support HPAI reporting to the World Organisation for Animal Health and epidemiological investigations. She is also responsible for the Canadian avian influenza surveillance system. Since 2015, she is an adjunct professor at the Université de Montréal and continues to perform research projects on biosecurity compliance.
